MOU Negotiations Update
After 22 months of negotiations, we are pleased to announce that the Orange County Managers Association Board of Directors have reached a tentative agreement with the County for a successor MOU to the one that expired January 2014.
Over the next 2 weeks, 4 meetings are scheduled where details of the agreement will be presented to the Membership which will include time allotted for questions and answers. The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 5th at 11:30am at Orange County Public Works (300 W. Flower, Santa Ana) in room B-10 (basement conference room). The second and third presentations will be held on November 10th and 12th at 12:00pm at Orange County Auditor-Controller, (12 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana), room 216. Limited metered parking is available at each of the sites or you may pay to park in a parking structure. Parking validations are not available.
A vote on this agreement by the Membership is scheduled for November 18th at 11:30am, in the Santa Ana Police Department Community Room. There will also be a brief presentation and time for questions and answers. If you know how you are going to vote, you can just show up and vote without listening to the presentation on the 18th. Also, if you are unable to attend the November 18th vote, you will be permitted to vote in person at the OCMA Office (600 W. Santa Ana Blvd., Suite 114-F) on Thursday, November 19th between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm.
The OCMA Board is in favor of the tentative agreement and unanimously recommends a yes vote.
If the Membership votes to accept the agreement, we are hoping the MOU will go before the Board of Supervisors on December 8th.
