BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTIONS
We have the results from our OCMA Board of Directors election. The top two vote getters were David Brock from OC Public Works and Michael Kerr from CEO. It is the intention of the Board of Directors to appoint them to serve as provisional Directors to fill the vacancies left by the two retiring Board Members. In January, they will then begin serving their regular terms in office. Thank you to everyone who voted and participated in the process, your continuing support is most appreciated and helps to make our Association stronger.
EQUITY REQUESTS
We have received over 85 Equity Request from our membership and the Departments and the analysis has begun. For those of you who have submitted requests, we may be contacting you for additional information and/or clarification regarding your request. We will begin meeting with the County in mid-September with the process continuing through the month of October. Final equity determinations will be made by early November when requestors will be notified of the results.
SPECIAL OFFERS
OCMA members can now purchase discount tickets to LEGOLAND California Resort! In addition, members can now get a discount to the new LEGOLAND Hotel that opened in April 2013. A special link will be placed in the “SPECIAL OFFERS” section of the OCMA website where members now will have access to purchase discounted tickets and hotel rates.
NEGOTIATION SURVEY
Within the next month, OCMA will be sending out a special survey to gather member input on issues important to members in the upcoming negotiations with the County. This is an important tool for the OCMA Negotiation Team to use in strategizing and prioritizing for the negotiations. While we understand a COLA (an across the board raise) is important to the vast majority of members, there are other issues that are also negotiated that are very important as well. Please participate and make your opinion known by filling out and returning the survey. Thank-you.
