We hope that you and your families and loved ones had a great Holiday Season and New Year’s! The Holiday Party at Original Mike’s was a great success and attended by over 175 Managers with several Managers winning some terrific door prizes. One lucky Manager won an iPad Air!
On Wednesday January 8, 2014, OCMA entered into negotiations with the County for a new contract. The Negotiations Survey was conducted which will help the Negotiations Team focus on the areas of importance to the membership. We will keep you updated with general information as the negotiations progress, however, in order to keep the integrity of the process sound, specific information will not be shared until the conclusion of formal negotiations.
Many members have contacted OCMA regarding the progress of the Equity Requests that were submitted. There were over 80 Equity Requests submitted and each of them are analyzed to determine if an increase is warranted. Negotiations with the County and the Departments are held and a final determination is made. It has been a tough process this year and an unexpected delay (injury to County HRS Manager with whom we have been negotiating) has taken the process into the holiday season which has also prolonged the process. We hope to conclude very soon and OCMA will be contacting each Manager who submitted a request by phone with the results of their request.
January 29th is the next scheduled OCMA Membership Meeting, so please plan on attending.
